Samsung's new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro were initially set for open sale starting July 24, but quality issues have delayed this by a full month. Samsung US has updated the availability date to August 28, while the UK and Germany branches indicate shipping will begin on August 16. Additionally, Amazon US has removed the Buds 3 Pro listing entirely.
The delays are suspected to be caused by the new silicone ear tips, which appear to rip when removed. These tears render the tips useless, as they cannot be reattached, forcing users to install one of the two replacement sets. This is not an ideal solution since the replacement tips are different sizes. Multiple complaints have surfaced on Reddit from users experiencing ripped ear tips during removal.
In response, Samsung issued a step-by-step guide on how to safely remove the Buds 3 Pro silicone tips, advising users not to twist the ear tips or use their fingernails during the removal process.
Samsung also posted an official community update on its Samsung Korea forum.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the customers who participated in the pre-sale of the Galaxy Buds 3 series and others that took place until July 18th.
We deeply apologize for any quality issues you may have encountered with some of the products you purchased during the pre-sale period.
If you experience any inconvenience with the product you purchased, you can visit a nearby service center to receive appropriate measures such as exchange or refund.
We will do our best to thoroughly inspect all processes before the official domestic launch on the 24th to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
