Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Review – Slimmer Body, Bigger Screens, Better Battery
Samsung's newest clamshell, the Galaxy Z Flip7, is here, and while it doesn’t revolutionize the foldable scene, it definitely evolves it. With meaningful upgrades like a larger cover screen, more powerful battery, and a slimmer design, this 2025 release hits the sweet spot for fans of premium compact tech.
Design & Display: No More Cutouts
The biggest visual change is right on the surface. The cover screen now spans edge-to-edge with a 4.1" Super AMOLED panel — goodbye awkward cutouts! Inside, the main foldable display is now 6.9 inches, wider than before, making multitasking and media consumption even more enjoyable.
The device measures 6.5mm when unfolded, maintaining the same weight (188g), even though it packs more display and more battery.
Battery Life & Charging: A Major Win
With a 4,300mAh battery, the Z Flip7 has almost caught up to the Galaxy Z Fold7’s capacity. It's a much-needed upgrade for power users, and Samsung's 25W fast charging means 50% in just 30 minutes. Wireless charging at 15W and reverse wireless at 4.5W are also on board.
Performance: Enter Exynos 2500
For the first time in a while, Samsung is going Exynos-only with the Z Flip7, using the 3nm Exynos 2500 chip. It promises solid performance with its 10-core CPU and Xclipse 950 GPU, though Snapdragon loyalists may be disappointed. Still, 12GB of RAM and UFS 4.0 storage (256GB or 512GB) ensure fast and fluid usage.
Camera System: Familiar Yet Solid
The Z Flip7 brings over a solid 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide, capable of 4K@60fps video and HDR10+. Selfies come from the 10MP front shooter, and Samsung’s software continues to offer polished results, especially in good lighting.
Unboxing Experience
You’ll get the usual eco-friendly box with a USB-C cable, SIM tool, and nothing else. No charger here, so you’ll need to buy a 25W adapter if you don’t already have one.
Software & Features
Running Android 16 with One UI 8, the Z Flip7 is future-proof with 7 years of OS updates. Cool additions like Circle to Search, Samsung DeX, and Wi-Fi 7 support give this phone flagship software polish in a foldable form factor.
Verdict: A Smart, Stylish Evolution
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but it does refine it beautifully. The bigger battery, larger displays, sleeker form, and high-end software experience make it the best Z Flip yet. If you’re looking for a foldable that balances style, performance, and practicality, this might be the one to beat in 2025.
