Google Pixel 10 Series Launch Tipped for August 13 with Tensor G5 and MediaTek Modem
Google appears to have settled on a familiar launch window for its next flagship smartphones. A fresh leak claims the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will be officially unveiled on August 13, exactly one year after the Pixel 9 series debuted.
If accurate, this launch date would maintain Google's mid-August tradition—and it seems 13 might just be Google's lucky number.

Tensor G5: A Major Upgrade in the Making
The Pixel 10 lineup will mark a significant leap in hardware, with the debut of Google’s Tensor G5 chipset. This is the first Tensor SoC built by TSMC, instead of Samsung, which could bring noticeable improvements:
Better thermal efficiency
Improved performance
Potential for longer battery life
In addition, the Tensor G5 chip is rumored to include a MediaTek modem, replacing the Exynos modem found in previous models. This could result in more stable connectivity and fewer overheating issues—both common complaints in earlier Pixel phones.
Satellite Connectivity Stays
Despite the modem change, reports suggest that the Pixel 10 series will continue to support satellite connectivity, maintaining emergency communication capabilities even in areas with no network coverage.
Android 16 and Display Enhancements
Launching just as Android 16 rolls out, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will be among the first phones to ship with the new OS right out of the box.
Other expected features include:
Higher PWM dimming rate for reduced screen flicker
Improved display calibration
Refinements to Pixel-exclusive features in Google Photos and AI tools
Mark Your Calendar
If the leaks are accurate, August 13, 2025 will be the big reveal date for Google's next flagship smartphones. The Pixel 10 series is shaping up to be a more polished and powerful generation, with smarter connectivity, cleaner software, and a potentially game-changing chipset shift to TSMC.
